During 20 years of hard work and study he learned the
skills of the masters, deliberated masterpieces
respecting the traditional styles of Chinese watercolor
painting while exploiting new skills, absorbing the
charm of these styles. Learning from from his seniors,
especially Mr. Wang Xuetao, Mr. Liu Jiyou, and his
teacher Ms. Liu Jiying a very famous painter, his works
became more mature and his own personal style emerged.
His watercolor paintings are realistic, elegant,
simple and unadorned. He knows the beauty of art lies in
the truthfulness and grasp of nature. He never stops
collecting source materials of painting and abides by
the principle that one should never paint what they have
not experienced personally. This spirit shines in his
works from time to time. He not only manifests vividly
the style of grace, skill and intelligence which was
founded by Master Wang, but also blends dense living
emotions and life's vitality into his art.
Mr. Liu Ming Liang has participated in many domestic
and international exhibitions and received favorable
reviews from experts and people from all levels of
society. Some of his works are collected overseas and
published by domestic press.
